TAJMAHAL

Tajmahal began his music career in 1995 as a label DJ with the legendary TRANS’PACT label in France and as co-writer with “ASIA 2001”. This collaboration produced 4 albums, to which Tajmahal contributed 3 or 4 tracks on each. During this period he was the official label DJ of Trans’Pact and the Asia 2001 band. After leaving ASIA 2001 in 1998, he started his own career, organizing Trance parties in Lyon France and also became label DJ for Chaos Unlimited (UK). With Chaos Unlimited he worked in an A&R role and also created compilations. These experiences drove him to create his own label and thus, “Electrik Dream” was born in 2005 with him as label manager. 

Nowadays Tajmahal splits his time in between Downtempo Chillout & Etnic Shamanic projects when he perform in the Chill Out /Alterntiv stage and Progressive Psy Morning Tribal Goa Trance for Mainfloor.

He is Currently working with Alba on a new project called “Medicine Men Song”. They are preparing a double sided project: one side will be for the opening stages on a main floor with some real Ethnic Tribal Goa Psy Trance Live set. The second live act is devoted to the alternative and chill out stage; watch out for their music in the festivals season next summer.

The last two years were productive for him: he released a tribute album with his friend Kurtz Mindfields, dedicated to the Berlin school period for all the analogue synth lovers , named Analogic Touch – From Berlin school to Electronica Ambient.

He was also working on a chill out Ethnik project “UASCA” in collaboration with his friend Fluxo from Portugal…

Uasca is a Tribal Ambient / Downtempo Project including spiritual chants from Peruvian Ayahuasca priests which were collected on site by Tajmahal when he visited them in October 2009 and March 2012.

Uasca is a tribute to the ancient, tribal knowledge of the Amazon.

They started working on their debut album “COSMOS UMBILICAL” in the beginning of 2009 and released it in may 2018. 9 years of love into one album.

 Taj is becoming well known for his long Ambient Uptempo Psychill Dj Sets. As DJ he’s also happy to come and play a Retro Goa music DJ set as he has the secret.                                                                                                                                                                         His style is fluid and deep in meaning: his music tells the story of his feelings. When DJ-ing, he combines his spotless technical skills with a broad, eclectic musical knowledge and an immense creativity: he is famous for telling a story and taking the crowds every step of the way towards enlightment.
